The show was bedazzling even before the runway started. Outside on the crisp fall evening, a mannequin by Alfie Rojas next to an exotic dress of raffia.
There was a floor-sweeping really long red dress. And the harlequin jacket whose head was an electric glow.



The heavy leather handbag was created by Óscar Deaz, sure to last for a decade of heavy use. And wearing the sublime derby, the partner of M. Deaz, Maria Pons, just recently a favorite of Condé Nast Traveler. Her hat give a bit hint of the film Annie Hall, a favorite of the woman who brainstormed this Fashion Parade — Isobel Castrejón.
Isobel Castrejón, a fervent admirer of the film Moulin Rouge and directors Wes Anderson and Gabriel Figueroa, came to create Fashion Parade San Miguel with a history in classical ballet — with studies in France — as well as a focus on art, especially the art of the couture.



It was back in 2020 that she started daydreaming about Fashion Parade San Miguel, and in 2022, it appeared! In 2023, she aims to create an homage to the movies, and to the designers who follow their own creative path.
And with that, we await in anticipation Fashion Parade 2023 in San Miguel de Allende.
